Community Standard.

From Loss to Legacy: This Is ZaZa’s Story

ZaZa's Legacy - Father and Child

In 2024, Zaire “ZaZa” Bwoga’s life was cut short by a choking incident — a preventable event that changed his family and community forever.

From this loss grew a mission: to ensure every family has the tools and knowledge to respond when seconds matter. ZaZa’s Legacy was created to raise awareness, deliver education, and install life-saving devices where they’re needed most.

Because choking leaves no time to prepare, our communities can be ready.

ZaZa’s story continues to guide this movement. His life is honoured not only in memory but in action — a call for families, schools, and communities everywhere to be prepared. Every LifeVac installed, every training delivered, and every conversation shared is part of a promise: that his legacy creates safety and change for others.

Real Stories, Real Change

Behind every device placed is a life protected — and a story worth sharing.

“I never knew anti-choking devices existed before this — and I’ve worked in healthcare for over 20 years. That alone says how much awareness is needed.”

— Rebecca Pizzey, Nurse & Councillor

“LifeVac should be everywhere. I didn’t even know it existed until it was too late — now I can’t stop seeing how many lives it could save.”

— Andrea Clemente, Treasurer

“We lost ZaZa to something that could’ve been prevented. That’s why I’ll fight to make LifeVac available in every community.”

— Brian Bwoga, Founder

ZaZa’s Law: Clear Warnings, Safer Kids

Grapes pose a well-documented choking risk for young children, yet Australia has no mandatory national warning labels.

ZaZa’s Law calls for plain-language warnings on grape packaging and clear in-store signage, so parents and carers can make quick, informed choices when seconds matter.

Add your name to back evidence-based labelling that helps prevent choking and keeps families informed. In honour of ZaZa, let’s make safety guidance visible where it counts — on the pack and in the aisle.
